Tigerwood is a tree that grows in Brazil and Western Africa. This tree grows to about 125 feet. This wood as the name would say striped kind of like a tiger. The main colors of the wood are a reddish-orange with reddish –brown strips though out the wood. With the character of this wood it really works in any style of home.
Also this wood has a hardness of 1850 on the Janka scale. Which in another word this wood is much harder than red oak. Then with the different colors in the wood the scratches that will occur will not be as noticeable as a wood that is all one color.
