Mohawk is the exclusive dealer of Smartstrand with Dupont. Smartstrand is made with a fiber containing Bio-PDO (Sorona). Sorona is made from corn sugar, making Smartstrand more environmentally friendly.

The stain resistance of Smartstand is built in to the fibers so it will never wash away or have to be reapplied. Smartstrand even resists the fading of bleach.
